ZestyAI, the AI-driven property risk analytics firm, has expanded its partnership with Steadily, a top-rated rental property insurer, to deliver advanced hail and wind risk models that improve underwriting precision.
Building on a 2024 rollout, Steadily will extend its use of ZestyAI’s property-specific insights across additional states to strengthen storm risk assessment in high-exposure regions, according to FF News.
Steadily, operating in all 50 states with $300m in annualised gross written premium, first adopted ZestyAI’s Z-HAIL™ and Z-WIND™ models in four severe convective storm states. Their success prompted the expansion.
ZestyAI’s platform blends climatology with property characteristics to predict storm-related losses, moving beyond traditional territory-level modelling. Its tools evaluate factors including roof condition, structural complexity and historical claims. The models are approved by regulators in 19 states and widely used by insurers.
“Expanding our use of ZestyAI’s hail and wind models reaffirms our commitment to precision and efficiency in landlord underwriting. These insights help us make informed decisions quickly and manage exposure with greater confidence,” Steadily co-founder and COO Datha Santomieri said.
“Steadily is modernizing a critical segment of the market with their customer-centric, tech-forward approach,” ZestyAI founder and CEO Attila Toth said. “We’re proud to support their growth with AI-driven insights that enable better pricing, smarter underwriting, and more resilient portfolios.”
