The collaboration aims to help merchants tackle chargebacks, fraud, and website vulnerabilities, while also ensuring compliance with rapidly evolving industry rules. Together, the firms plan to deliver solutions that enhance payments flow data, improve device fingerprinting, and bolster real-time protection against risks.
Chargebacks911, established over 14 years ago, is recognised for its expertise in chargeback prevention and remediation, helping businesses recover revenue lost to disputes and fraudulent claims. The company’s data-driven services are designed to limit financial losses for merchants and support compliance with schemes such as Visa’s Compelling Evidence 3.0 and Mastercard’s First-Party Trust Program.
Cside provides an award-winning client-side security platform that monitors user login locations, identifies devices, and analyses web usage patterns to detect hidden risks. Its technology also delivers real-time protection against enumeration attacks, browser-based supply chain vulnerabilities, and compromised third-party scripts.
By integrating their strengths, both companies will provide merchants with layered protection against threats including friendly fraud, card testing attacks, and browser-side risks that can damage consumer trust. The combined platform also aims to improve merchants’ customer experience by enabling proactive dispute management and stronger fraud prevention.
The growing problem of chargeback fraud underscores the need for such solutions. A Mastercard study showed that nearly one in five small businesses affected by chargeback fraud had to file for bankruptcy, while another 17% were forced to shut down. Visa has further estimated that up to 75% of chargebacks are cases of abuse or misuse, yet merchants recover only 18% of disputed transactions, according to data from Chargebacks911.
