Xiid, a cybersecurity company specialising in zero knowledge networking, has secured new funding as it looks to strengthen its next phase of growth.
The firm announced a multi-million-dollar investment led by Ventura Capital, an active backer of defence technology, global financial institutions, and high-growth innovators. The round also saw participation from Cohen Circle, a venture firm co-founded by Betsy Cohen.
Founded with the goal of transforming cyber defence, Xiid has developed SealedTunnel™, a platform designed to deliver military-grade security through zero knowledge networking. The technology has already been granted a Department of Defense Authority to Operate (ATO) and passed stringent testing by the Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. These certifications confirmed its near invisibility and compliance with best practices from the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), making it trusted by U.S. government entities.
The latest capital injection will be used to accelerate Xiid’s growth, advance its quantum-proof security solutions, and expand the reach of its SealedTunnel™ technology. The company said the investment will provide momentum to build on its government credentials and partnerships with enterprises, including its collaboration with consulting and technology giant Capgemini.
The new round adds to previous backing from early investors, bringing Xiid’s total financing to an eight-figure sum. This underlines strong investor confidence in the company’s mission to protect sensitive platforms and information across the financial ecosystem and beyond.
Cohen Circle cofounder Betsy Cohen said, “Xiid’s bold vision addresses urgent gaps in protecting sensitive platforms and information for the entire financial ecosystem. Cohen Circle is excited to participate in Ventura’s Xiid funding, and we look forward to watching Xiid change the entire cybersecurity paradigm to deliver boundary-breaking, quantum-proof security.”
Ventura Capital founder and managing partner Mo El Husseiny said, “Secure remote access, data protection and safeguarding software intellectual property have never been more critical – and the immense potential of zero knowledge networking is coming into sharper focus every day. We are proud to support Xiid as they revolutionize network security. Ventura Capital sees immense strategic value adding Xiid to our portfolio, and strong alignment with the public sector.”
Xiid CEO Steve Visconti said, “We’re grateful for Ventura’s support. Their investment is a vote of confidence in our team and our mission. It gives us added momentum to continue our growth and deliver the level of cybersecurity organizations have been waiting for.”
