Terra Security, the first agentic-AI-powered penetration testing platform with a human-in-the-loop approach, has raised $30m in Series A funding to redefine how organisations secure their systems.
The round was led by Felicis with participation from Dell Technologies Capital, SVCI, and existing backers SYN Ventures, LAMA Partners, and Underscore VC. The new financing brings the company’s total funding to $38m.
Based in the cybersecurity sector, Terra Security has built a platform that continuously tests an organisation’s attack surface. It does this by combining a network of specialised AI agents designed to replicate ethical hackers with expert human oversight.
The company intends to use the fresh capital to expand into agentic-AI-driven red teaming, extend its enterprise attack surface coverage, and grow its research and product development teams. It also plans to scale its go-to-market presence to reach a wider range of organisations globally.
Terra’s technology promises results that are both scalable and accurate. Findings are validated through real-world exploitation rather than theoretical scoring, while results are aligned with each client’s unique business context. The system runs continuously, offering organisations actionable insights that can be trusted by security teams.
In a short space of time, Terra has built momentum. Earlier this year, the firm won the 2025 CrowdStrike & AWS Cybersecurity Accelerator in collaboration with Nvidia, which was judged by high-profile figures including Amazon CISO CJ Moses, CrowdStrike CEO George Kurtz and Nvidia CSO David Reber. It has also expanded its customer and partner base, counting multiple Fortune 500 enterprises.
The company also announced the appointment of Gerhard Eschelbeck, former Google CISO, to its board of directors. His addition brings further expertise to the firm as it looks to accelerate innovation in AI-driven offensive security.
This Series A follows Terra’s $8m seed round completed only months earlier, highlighting strong investor confidence in its mission to modernise penetration testing.
