Fabrix Security, a cybersecurity startup focused on artificial intelligence-driven identity protection, has exited stealth with fresh funding.
The company has raised $8m in a seed round backed by Norwest, Merlin Ventures and Jibe Ventures.
Fabrix has developed an AI-native identity and access management solution designed to handle both human and non-human identities, including bots, API keys, service accounts and AI agents. The platform enforces least privilege access and reduces attack surfaces without slowing business operations.
The funding will be directed towards advancing the product and supporting sales and marketing as the firm expands in the identity security market.
Fabrix was founded by Raz Rotenberg, a former R&D lead at Run.ai, and Ofir Yakovian, who previously worked at Orca Security and Microsoft Entra. The firm is also backed by executives from leading companies such as NVIDIA, Cyera, Palo Alto Networks, Tenable, Google and Microsoft.
Rotenberg said, “IAM problems have been around for decades, but identity sprawl has made them worse. Both human and non-human identities are growing exponentially.
“At this scale, traditional IAM systems that rely on manual processes can’t achieve their main objectives, enforcing least privilege and reducing the attack surface. With the AI revolution, Fabrix can deliver significant value to customers by making these processes intelligent and autonomous, in ways that could never have been done before.”
Norwest general partner Dror Nahumi said, “Identity and access management is a well-known IT and security pain point. Fabrix Security is using new AI technologies to tackle this difficult and persistent problem.
“Its technology leverages advanced reasoning methodologies to monitor access decisions. This revolutionary approach adds a powerful layer of intelligence to enhance existing identity platforms.”
Merlin Ventures managing partner Shay Michel said, “The identity space is on the verge of major disruption. AI’s ability to multitask at scale and make instant decisions will eliminate today’s approval bottlenecks and long wait times. Identity will become one of the most profoundly impacted areas of cybersecurity in the near future.”
