FinTech PayNearMe secures $50m in Series E funding

PayNearMe, a FinTech company transforming how non-commerce businesses and their customers experience payments, has raised $50m in its Series E funding round.

The investment was led by AVP (Atlantic Vantage Point) through its Growth Fund I. The fresh capital will support PayNearMe’s plans to grow into new markets and strengthen its payment experience management platform.

The company is best known for pioneering Payment Experience Management, a mix of software and money movement services that optimise the entire payment journey. Its platform helps businesses accelerate transactions, lower acceptance costs, and improve overall profitability and customer satisfaction.

With the new funding, PayNearMe said it will continue evolving its products while expanding its footprint into new geographies. The company has also rebranded its platform as PayXM, which it describes as the industry’s first purpose-built solution designed to streamline the entire payment journey. PayXM supports all major forms of payment and integrates popular channels.

AVP general partner and head of growth fund North America Elizabeth de Saint-Aignan said, “PayNearMe has redefined what it means to deliver a modern payment experience. The company is uniquely positioned to solve challenges in a space long underserved and overlooked.

“PayNearMe’s vision and proven execution are changing how non-commerce businesses approach payments, and we’re excited to support them in this next stage of growth.”

PayNearMe CEO Danny Shader said, “For too long, payments have been treated only as a cost of doing business.

“We see improving payments as a powerful opportunity to help businesses differentiate, drive customer satisfaction, and improve business results. AVP’s funding will allow us to deliver the benefits of Payment Experience Management to more clients and in new markets.”
