Southern Oak Insurance Company, a Florida-based insurer, has partnered with ZestyAI, an artificial intelligence-driven property risk analytics platform, to strengthen its visibility into property condition and exposure across its homeowners portfolio.
The collaboration is designed to help Southern Oak reduce losses and manage risk more effectively by leveraging ZestyAI’s detailed property-level insights, according to FF News.
Through the partnership, Southern Oak will utilise ZestyAI’s flagship Z-PROPERTY platform. This includes two core tools: Digital Roof, which uses AI to analyse high-resolution aerial imagery to assess roof complexity, materials, and condition; and Location Insights, which evaluates environmental risk factors such as vegetation overhang, yard debris, and secondary structures that could contribute to increased storm losses or claims severity.
By integrating these solutions, Southern Oak aims to improve its ability to take targeted preventative actions, enhance portfolio management, and maintain long-term stability for policyholders.
Tony Loughman, CEO of Southern Oak Insurance Company, said, “ZestyAI stood out for its ability to provide deep, 3D visibility into the condition and complexity of the properties we insure. These insights help us improve our risk decisions and manage exposure more effectively across a high-risk geography, while continuing to deliver value and stability to our policyholders.”
ZestyAI founder and CEO Attila Toth said, “Southern Oak is taking a proactive, data-driven approach to strengthen portfolio decisions. In Florida’s uniquely challenging insurance market, resilience depends on seeing risk clearly at the property level—and acting on it.”
