Orbit Financial Technology has unveiled Orbit Flex, a new monthly membership system designed to broaden access to its flagship research and analytics platform, Orbit Insight.
Previously used mainly by global asset managers and hedge funds, the platform will now be available to boutique firms, smaller funds, and independent researchers, granting them the same institutional-grade capabilities.
The shift is intended to remove long-standing cost and access barriers. Orbit Insight combines exclusive financial data with advanced AI infrastructure, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) technology, allowing users to process vast volumes of information in ways that were once the preserve of the largest financial institutions.
Orbit Flex marks a departure from traditional limitations faced by research teams and individual investors, who have often had to restrict their coverage due to data constraints. By enabling simultaneous screening of tens of thousands of companies and reliable multi-document analysis, Orbit aims to give both professionals and sophisticated retail investors a more level playing field. The platform also allows users to import their own datasets alongside Orbit’s proprietary information.
The service is integrated with leading large language models such as Claude, Copilot and ChatGPT, expanding workflow possibilities for financial analysis.
Orbit Financial Technology founder and CEO Da Wei said, “The true magic of large language models is in unlocking previously impossible workflows. With the right data and our infrastructure, specialist institutional and sophisticated retail investors can tackle any research challenge without custom training. Democratizing access has also been a core tenet of Orbit. That’s why I’m thrilled that, after a decade of development, we can now make this advanced capability accessible to everyone.”
In contrast to traditional data providers, which often impose broad licensing fees, Orbit Flex introduces a transparent credit-based system so users only pay for what they consume.
Another notable feature is its “Agent marketplace”, where investors can deploy AI agents tailored to specific strategies. These include Filings Insight Extractor, Portfolio News Tracker, and Data Transformer, as well as sustainability-focused agents such as the Anti-greenwashing monitor.
Orbit’s data infrastructure is among the most comprehensive in the market. The company processes more than 70 million documents annually, spanning over 150,000 companies in 80 countries.
