Signicat has launched ReuseID, a reusable digital identity solution designed to give organisations full control over their identity systems while enabling users to verify once and access services securely across multiple platforms and countries.
The introduction of ReuseID comes at a pivotal moment as Europe prepares to roll out the European Digital Identity Wallet (EUDI Wallet) under the eIDAS 2.0 framework. The need for secure, interoperable and user-centric digital identity solutions is rising as businesses seek to reduce risks linked to fragmented systems that leave gaps open to fraud.
Founded in Norway and now operating across Europe, Signicat provides identity and fraud prevention solutions that help organisations meet complex regulatory requirements while improving digital trust. The company is recognised as a pioneer in the digital identity space, supporting enterprises in financial services, payments, eCommerce, and beyond.
ReuseID is designed to streamline onboarding and authentication processes by consolidating multiple verification and identity checks into a single reusable identity layer. The product helps enterprises cut operational costs, reduce onboarding friction, and address compliance challenges while maintaining control under their own brand.
The platform offers customisable security flows, flexible integration through SDKs and white-labelled applications, and full compliance with frameworks such as GDPR, PSD2, SCA, and eIDAS. By enabling the reuse of verified identities across entire ecosystems, ReuseID delivers standardised experiences across borders while boosting customer conversion rates and mitigating fraud risks.
Research from Signicat’s The Battle in the Dark report shows that 74% of companies in Europe believe they are effectively combating fraud, despite one in five transactions still being fraudulent. Less than half of those firms (45%) are actively measuring the impact of fraud. ReuseID directly addresses these shortcomings by helping organisations strengthen KYC compliance and deploy real-time anti-fraud measures.
Early use cases of ReuseID across banking, payments, eCommerce, and iGaming have demonstrated faster onboarding, stronger fraud prevention, and enhanced customer experiences. The solution is positioned to integrate seamlessly into the upcoming EUDI Wallet ecosystem, making it a forward-looking choice for digital-first businesses.
Signicat chief product officer Pinar Alpay said, “From anti-money laundering directives to stringent data protection frameworks, organisations in regulated financial and technology sectors face mounting pressure to comply with evolving digital identity requirements. ReuseID unifies onboarding and ongoing authentication with a single reusable identity, enabling users to verify once and securely access services across borders and platforms, while businesses maintain full control under their own brand”.
Alpay added, “After years of refining trusted identity solutions, ReuseID consolidates Signicat’s expertise into one secure, reusable platform ready to support digital businesses across Europe. Our solution is tailored to meet today’s regulatory demands and tomorrow’s identity challenges, transforming how enterprises manage identity across platforms and borders”.
