HSBC expands DMS to India and Singapore

HSBC, one of the world’s largest banking and financial services organisations, has announced the expansion of its Digital Merchant Services (DMS) platform to India and Singapore.

HSBC, one of the world’s largest banking and financial services organisations, has announced the expansion of its Digital Merchant Services (DMS) platform to India and Singapore.

The move extends the bank’s innovative payments solution to two of Asia’s most dynamic digital economies, according to FF News.

The new product launch aims to empower digital merchants and marketplaces operating in India and Singapore to streamline their payment acceptance processes.

HSBC’s decision to roll out DMS in these regions reflects growing demand for efficient, scalable payment infrastructure in fast-expanding digital commerce markets.

The Digital Merchant Services platform allows merchants to accept payments through multiple channels—ranging from cards and digital wallets to real-time bank transfers—via a single contract and unified interface.

This reduces the complexity of managing multiple payment providers and enhances efficiency for merchants of all sizes.

In addition to simplifying payment acceptance, DMS offers merchants consolidated reporting and reconciliation, faster settlement times and easy integration with existing systems. This supports a smoother customer experience while reducing operational costs and providing deeper insights into transaction flows.

The latest rollout builds on DMS’s successful launch in Hong Kong last year. With the addition of India and Singapore, HSBC now supports 14 payment methods across three major Asian markets. The expansion also strengthens the bank’s collaboration with FinTech firms, furthering innovation in digital acquiring and enabling broader integration with clients’ cash management and liquidity solutions.

As part of its global roadmap, HSBC plans to extend DMS to more markets in the coming years, reinforcing its commitment to accelerating e-commerce and digital payments worldwide.

HSBC head of global payments solutions Manish Kohli said, “We are delighted to bring HSBC Digital Merchant Services to India and Singapore. These are two markets where digital commerce is advancing at pace, and merchants need payment solutions that are as dynamic as the customers they serve. By combining HSBC’s global reach with local specialisation, we can help businesses of all sizes grow confidently, domestically and across borders.”
