SouthPoint Financial Credit Union, a Minnesota-based financial institution with $578m in assets, has announced a strategic partnership with InvestiFi, a leading digital investment solutions provider.
The collaboration aims to integrate InvestiFi’s investing platform directly into SouthPoint’s online banking ecosystem, offering members a seamless way to invest from their existing checking accounts.
Founded to serve communities across 30 counties in Minnesota, SouthPoint Financial Credit Union operates eight full-service branches in Sleepy Eye, Springfield, New Ulm, St. Peter, North Mankato, Hutchinson, Waconia, and Buffalo. The institution provides full-service banking, digital tools, merchant services, and investment solutions, while maintaining a strong focus on supporting local communities and financial literacy.
InvestiFi’s digital investment platform will enable SouthPoint members to explore a range of investing options. Through Guided Investing, a robo-advisory service, members can access portfolios aligned with their risk tolerance and goals. Self-directed investing will allow access to more than 6,500 stocks and ETFs, as well as over 25 digital assets and stablecoins, giving members the flexibility to diversify their holdings within a secure environment.
Additionally, SouthPoint members will benefit from InvestiFi’s educational resources, designed to improve financial literacy and support confident investment decisions. The collaboration aligns with both organisations’ missions to make investing accessible, simple, and safe for everyday consumers.
SouthPoint Financial Credit Union president and CEO Jay Gostonczik said, “At SouthPoint, we pride ourselves in putting our members first, whether that be adding the perfect checking account for their finances or helping them put profit back into their business. We are excited to be joining forces with InvestiFi to offer digital investing from checking to our members. As digital currencies continue to spark the interest of our members, it is paramount that we take this vital step in supporting them as they start their digital investment journeys.
“With the addition of InvestiFi’s guided investing and financial education, we will be able to support our growing community across Minnesota as they seek to test the waters with stocks, ETFs and cryptocurrencies on a safe and secure platform.”
InvestiFi CEO Kian Sarreshteh stated: “We are excited to be partnering with SouthPoint to offer their members the opportunity to invest directly from their checking accounts.
“Credit union members are increasingly turning to third-party investment apps like Robinhood and Coinbase, which diverts their funds and attention away from the credit union and leaves them with limited support. By bringing investing inside, Southpoint is offering its members a seamless digital investing solution in a familiar environment while simultaneously helping their institution to retain deposits and existing members while attracting new ones.”
