TEAM IM, a long-standing content management specialist based in the USA, has been an M-Files Solution Partner for eight years.
The company’s journey with M-Files began after nearly a quarter of a century working in enterprise content management, a sector that has rapidly shifted away from legacy platforms and opened space for more agile, disruptive technologies. TEAM IM CEO Doug Thompson said the firm saw early potential in M-Files almost a decade ago, recognising the platform’s fresh approach to long-standing industry challenges and its ability to deliver meaningful value for customers.
Over the years, the company has built several solutions within the M-Files ecosystem, each designed to extend the platform’s capabilities and meet complex customer requirements. The first and most widely adopted is AutoRecords for M-Files, a tool that introduces automated audit, compliance, and records management. This helps organisations apply strict controls via streamlined workflows grounded in automation, reducing operational burden while strengthening governance.
TEAM IM has also developed ABBYY Vantage for M-Files, an integration which embeds AI-driven Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) directly into customer environments. With this solution, documents flow seamlessly between IDP and M-Files, allowing for automated classification, extraction, and recognition. The result is enriched metadata and accelerated workflows powered by more intelligent search and data capture.
The company’s third innovation, Inspection Management, is a multi-device application that allows organisations to deploy custom field surveys across mobile, tablet, and desktop. Designed to work even without connectivity, it supports data collection ranging from simple checkboxes to high-resolution photos, video, geolocation input, and IoT sensor information. Once captured, the data is automatically transferred to M-Files, ensuring secure storage, supporting workflows, and feeding audit-ready records.
Looking ahead, TEAM IM sees the M-Files Partner Program as a genuinely collaborative environment, offering access to resources, training, and opportunities for co-creation. Thompson said the shared best practices and close engagement with the M-Files community are standout features of the programme.
