Interactive Brokers unveils smarter IBKR GlobalTrader mobile trading

Interactive Brokers, a global automated electronic broker providing multi-asset trading and investment services, has announced the launch of a redesigned version of its IBKR GlobalTrader mobile app.

The IBKR GlobalTrader app is designed as a simplified companion to the firm’s flagship IBKR Mobile platform. The redesigned app features faster navigation, a cleaner interface, and improved usability, while preserving access to global markets. Users can trade equities, ETFs, options, and digital assets, alongside integrated access to forecast contracts, all within a single mobile experience.

A key enhancement is the revamped Explore section, which helps investors identify opportunities across global markets. The app now includes AI-generated news summaries, investment themes linking companies, products, competitors, and regions across the S&P 1500 universe, and tools to surface related instruments and trends. Enhanced watchlists and portfolio tools allow users to monitor intraday changes using spark charts, while consolidated access to order history and funding tools improves efficiency.

Additional updates include a simplified order ticket with a step-by-step “Focused” view for ease of use, alongside the option to switch to a more advanced ticket when greater control is required.

Interactive Brokers CEO Milan Galik said, “We created IBKR GlobalTrader as a streamlined complement to our flagship IBKR Mobile, bringing the power of our comprehensive trading tools into a simpler, more intuitive experience. The app makes it easy for novice investors who might be new to our platform to trade across global markets from one place. Our introducing brokers have already embraced it, recognizing how it simplifies global investing for their clients.”
