How Virtuoso Partners scales document automation with M-Files

Virtuoso Partners, a UK-based provider of intelligent automation, has outlined how its partnership with information management platform M-Files is helping organisations modernise document-heavy processes, strengthen compliance, and move faster on AI adoption.

The company has been an M-Files partner since 2021 and says the combination of metadata-driven document management and workflow capability has proven well suited to knowledge workers operating in complex environments.

Josh Winters, director of partnerships at Virtuoso Partners, said the firm was drawn to M-Files early on because it manages content in context through metadata, while also enabling workflows that “set content into motion”. Virtuoso Partners serves a broad mix of sectors and customer profiles, and argues that the platform’s flexibility makes it viable across different use cases.

That adaptability has also supported Virtuoso Partners’ approach to regulated and compliance-sensitive work. The company said it wanted to align with a platform that could change how organisations manage documents, ensure compliance, and collaborate more effectively, adding that M-Files’ scalability has remained a strong fit as client needs evolve.

A major part of Virtuoso Partners’ go-to-market strategy is distribution through established channel networks. While headquartered in London, the firm works across the UK and into EMEA, with growing activity in APAC.

By partnering with large IT resellers, Virtuoso Partners positions itself to deliver M-Files implementations at scale through value-added-reseller (VAR) routes that enterprise buyers already trust—an approach it says can be especially helpful for government and public sector procurement.

On delivery, Virtuoso Partners frames itself as a “channel enabler”, supporting customers with workflow and automation services that extend beyond a single platform.

The firm said it brings experience in integration platforms, intelligent document processing, AI integration and RPA, allowing it to combine M-Files with complementary technologies as part of broader transformation programmes.

Virtuoso Partners also pointed to the partner ecosystem behind M-Files as a driver of growth. It described the partner programme as providing strong tools and support for business development and bidding, and said that while it rarely needs pre-sales assistance, responsiveness has been strong when required. The company said it has built a £1m-plus ARR book of business with M-Files, supported by consistent growth and strong net revenue retention.

Virtuoso Partners director of partnerships Josh Winters said, “Partnering with M-Files feels less like working with a software vendor and more like joining a family of innovators.”
