Revolut Business launches subscriptions to unify revenue operations

Revolut Business, a global FinTech platform serving hundreds of thousands of businesses, has launched Subscriptions in the UK, introducing a new in-app billing solution designed to help merchants manage recurring payments.

The new Subscriptions feature enables merchants to create, automate and optimise subscription plans directly within the Revolut Business app. By integrating billing, payments and customer management into a single platform, the company aims to remove the need for fragmented systems that often result in operational complexity, manual reconciliation and higher levels of failed payments.

Traditionally, businesses offering subscriptions are required to manage data across multiple platforms, separating billing from payments and customer records. This fragmented approach can increase operational friction and lead to missed revenue and customer churn, it said.

Revolut Business’ Subscriptions tool addresses these challenges by consolidating payment processing and customer details in one place, offering instant reconciliation, digitalised payment administration and unified financial oversight.

The feature allows merchants to set up subscriptions either directly in-app or via API, supporting bespoke subscription plans and free trials. Importantly, the tool comes with no additional billing software fees, allowing businesses to manage recurring revenue without incurring extra costs.

Automated digital payment reminders and transaction re-processing are also included, helping merchants reduce failed payments and improve collection rates.

Revolut Business General Manager of acquiring Alex Codina said, “Subscription revenue is the backbone of many modern businesses, but our customers were tired of juggling multiple software tools and high manual input just to manage recurring payments. We listened, and built a solution that simplifies the entire journey. By integrating robust subscription management with existing payment processing capabilities, we’re moving beyond simple payment acceptance and giving merchants a 360 view of their customers. This is a clear step towards our ambition of becoming the leading, all-in-one financial platform powering hundreds of thousands of fast-growing businesses globally.”
