Robinhood UK launches commission-free stocks & shares ISA

Robinhood UK, the UK arm of the US-based trading platform, has launched a new stocks & shares ISA, extending its low-cost and app-based investing model.

The launch sees Robinhood introduce a stocks & shares ISA with no platform fees, zero commissions on trades, low foreign exchange charges and a 2% cash bonus on eligible contributions.

UK customers who fund their ISA before 5 April 2026 can earn 2% back on new eligible contributions.

ISAs remain the most widely used long-term savings vehicle in the UK, but Robinhood highlighted that high fees, complex transfer processes and outdated platforms continue to discourage many potential investors. The new ISA is designed to address these barriers by offering access to around 5,000 US-listed stocks and ADRs, with no platform fees, no commissions and a foreign exchange fee of 0.10% per trade. Investors can trade both whole and fractional shares within the ISA, allowing greater flexibility in portfolio construction.

Customers can open a stocks & shares ISA in minutes through the Robinhood app or website. The platform also supports transfers of existing stocks & shares ISAs from other providers, enabling users to consolidate their investments in one place.

A built-in contribution tracker is included, providing a simple user interface that allows customers to monitor contributions across tax years and remain within annual ISA limits.

UK users will also gain access to Cortex Digests, Robinhood’s AI-powered tool that uses generative AI to provide near real-time context around stock price movements. Cortex Digests is the first Cortex product to be launched in the UK, with additional AI-driven tools expected to follow later this year.

The rollout of the Robinhood stocks & shares ISA to UK customers has begun this week, with broader availability planned shortly after.
