RADICL has secured fresh growth capital of $31m as it looks to accelerate the development of its autonomous security operations platform.
The company has closed a $31m Series A funding round led by Paladin Capital Group, with participation from returning backers Access Venture Partners and Denver Ventures, alongside new investor Cervin Ventures.
RADICL positions itself as a specialist provider of an autonomous virtual security operations centre, or vSOC, designed specifically for SMBs that form part of the US Defence Industrial Base. The company argues that traditional, human-centric SOC models are increasingly unable to keep up with the scale and speed of modern cyber threats, particularly as attackers begin to exploit AI-driven techniques to automate and amplify attacks.
At the core of RADICL’s offering is a “service as software” model that blends agentic AI operators with human security teams in a single, software-led user experience. Through its virtual SOC platform, the company delivers managed compliance and defence-in-depth capabilities, enabling customers to collaborate with RADICL analysts and their managed service providers while maintaining operational transparency. The modular structure of the platform is designed to allow customers to start with specific compliance requirements, such as CMMC or NIST SP 800-171, before expanding to broader, more advanced cyber defence capabilities over time.
The newly raised capital will be used to accelerate product development and further scale the autonomous capabilities of RADICL’s vSOC. The company plans to invest in enhancing its AI-driven detection, investigation and response functions, while continuing to tailor its platform to the needs of SMBs that support critical infrastructure and national security programmes.
RADICL was founded to address what it sees as a growing imbalance between increasingly sophisticated cyber threats and the limited resources available to smaller organisations. Its leadership team brings deep experience in building modern security operations platforms, including the development of technologies that underpin many enterprise SOCs today.
RADICL co-founder and CEO Chris Petersen said, “SMBs have historically been left behind when it comes to robust security operations and defense-in-depth. They simply cannot afford best-in-class technology nor talent and have gone without or adopted lower-quality options. An AI-enabled threat tsunami is on the horizon for SMBs as AI accelerates threat actors and widens their target aperture. It is imperative that SMBs, especially those that support U.S. national security, have better options to choose from. RADICL was founded to address this critical concern and is fighting AI with AI, delivering comprehensive and strong cyber defense with an experience and price point ideal for the SMB buyer.”
