M-Files revamps partner programme for growth

M-Files has unveiled a significant update to its global partner programme, positioning the move as a catalyst for joint growth and improved customer outcomes.

The company, known for its context-first document management platform, said the refreshed framework is designed to help solution providers scale more effectively while deepening collaboration with its field sales teams.

The evolved programme is being led by Mike O’Neill, global vice president of channel and alliances, who joined the company in October 2025.

O’Neill brings experience from senior roles at Box, Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Dell Technologies (EMC), where he focused on transforming partner ecosystems into high-performance revenue engines. His remit at M-Files is to guide the next phase of global channel expansion and ensure partners are equipped to deliver context-first solutions at scale.

M-Files Chief Revenue Officer Matt Marriott said, “Mike joined M‑Files at a pivotal moment for our partner ecosystem.

“As demand for context-enriched document management systems accelerates, partners are central to how we scale. Mike’s deep channel expertise and proven success building high-performing partner models ensures we are laying a strong foundation for long‑term, partner‑first growth. He is already shaping the next evolution of our program—strengthening enablement, amplifying revenue opportunities, and ensuring our partners have the strategic support they need to thrive.”

At the core of the refreshed framework is a renewed emphasis on performance and collaboration. The company has introduced additional revenue incentives, tiered benefits and co-marketing opportunities intended to improve profitability and accelerate deal velocity. Partners will also gain access to expanded training, certification pathways and dedicated support structures designed to enhance delivery capabilities and customer success.

Closer coordination with M-Files’ field sales organisation is another central feature. The updated structure supports joint business planning, broader engagement models and more integrated go-to-market initiatives. Partners will also benefit from early access to new product innovations, enabling them to address evolving compliance and information management challenges before competitors.

Mike O’Neill said, “Our partners are a critical component of the M-Files business. We are investing across the board to provide unmatched resources, incentives, and support — empowering our partners to deliver transformative, context-first solutions that give organizations a true performance advantage.”
