MSCI, a leading provider of investment decision support tools, has launched new artificial intelligence connectors.
The new connectivity framework allows clients to engage with MSCI’s data via the MSCI ONE cloud-based platform or through major AI providers, including the MSCI app in OpenAI’s ChatGPT and the MSCI connector in Claude.
The first solution built on this framework is MSCI IndexAI Insights, a conversational AI interface that combines MSCI’s index data with large language models (LLMs) to enable clients to ask plain-language questions about index performance, exposures, constituents and methodologies.
The launch is described as the first in a series of AI-enabled offerings MSCI plans to build on this new foundation. The firm has confirmed plans to extend the connectivity to additional product areas, including Private Assets, where AI capabilities are intended to support the investment lifecycle across due diligence, underwriting, analytics and reporting.
MSCI chief product officer Alvise Munari said, “Today’s announcement marks a key step in our journey to scale AI capabilities across MSCI’s broader solutions set and reflects our commitment to AI-driven innovation that transforms how clients engage with our data and models.
“By building secure connectivity into leading AI services, we are enabling clients to access MSCI insights wherever they work. The launch of IndexAI Insights is the first of a series of AI-enabled offerings that we will build on this foundation.”
