European WealthTech investment doubled YoY in Q4 2025
In Q4 2025, the European WealthTech sector experienced a decline in deal activity but a strong increase in funding compared to the same quarter last year.
A total of 24 deals were recorded in Q4 2025, representing a 14% decrease from the 28 deals completed in Q4 2024.
In contrast, funding rose significantly, with WealthTech firms raising $826.9m in Q4 2025, a 2.1x increase from the $399.7m raised in Q4 2024.
This divergence suggests that investors concentrated capital into fewer but larger transactions over the period.
When comparing Q3 to Q4 2025, deal volume declined slightly as the number of transactions fell from 25 to 24 deals, marking a 4% QoQ decrease.
However, total funding in Q4 2025 increased sharply by 289% from $212.6m in Q3 2025, indicating a significant rebound in capital deployment during the quarter.
Average deal value increased to $34.5m as larger deals were prioritised amid investor optimism
The average deal value in Q4 2025 was $34.5m, a substantial increase from the $14.3m average in Q4 2024 and well above the $8.5m average recorded in Q3 2025.
This represents a 2.4x increase year on year and a 306% increase quarter on quarter, highlighting a clear shift towards larger deal sizes despite the decline in overall deal activity.
