Prometeia has been quietly building one of the financial services sector’s most comprehensive Generative AI strategies.
Since late 2022, the Italian analytics and advisory firm has pursued a dual-track approach — using GenAI to sharpen its internal operations while simultaneously weaving the technology into client-facing products and platforms.
On the internal front, Prometeia has rolled out PromEASE, a corporate copilot system designed to give employees across the globe instant access to company policies, internal procedures, and IT processes. The tool reflects a broader push by the firm to validate GenAI’s productivity gains through its own rigorous analytical methods before recommending similar approaches to clients.
That same discipline has informed a growing suite of client solutions. In model assessment, Prometeia has developed a GenAI-powered tool that automatically collects, analyses, and organises regulatory content relevant to the validation process. The system is designed to cut assessment times, reduce operational errors, and standardise outputs regardless of who is carrying out the work.
The firm has also made inroads in synthetic data generation, producing a foundational model trained on banking payment transaction data. The solution can both strengthen Deep Learning models and simulate plausible transaction scenarios at an individual account level, opening up new possibilities for fraud detection, stress testing, and customer analytics.
Perhaps most ambitiously, Prometeia has developed TULIP, a large language model built specifically for Turkish-language financial services. Drawing on open-source frameworks and trained with a combination of external and synthetic financial data, TULIP is tailored to support Turkish banks with on-premise deployment — a notable example of how vertical LLMs are beginning to take shape within regional banking markets.
Alongside these standalone innovations, Prometeia has been integrating GenAI capabilities into its existing Digital WealthTech platform. New features include the automatic generation of personalised investment proposal explanations, a relationship manager assistant capable of interpreting conversational queries and surfacing relevant client data, and a chatbot that can navigate platform content, trigger workflows, and dynamically generate pages.
Looking ahead, Prometeia’s research and development focus is shifting towards regulatory compliance and scalability, with particular attention to alignment with the European AI Act — a signal that the firm is positioning its GenAI capabilities for wider international deployment.
