The collaboration will introduce new digital insurance capabilities for cardholders, including improved transparency around coverage, AI-powered personalisation of protections and digitally enhanced claims processes.

The initiative will launch first in France, where Visa’s embedded insurance programme already covers more than 25m cardholders, including both consumers and businesses. The enhanced services will then be rolled out progressively across other European markets.

The partnership aims to improve how cardholders interact with embedded insurance by providing clearer information about protections, faster claims resolution and a more seamless digital experience across both insurance and assistance services.

Florence Mélique, Senior Vice-President Group and Managing Director for France, Belgium and Luxembourg at Visa, said: “Insurance and assistance play a key role in the value a Visa card delivers to cardholders. In France alone, our embedded insurance programs already protect more than 25 million cardholders, both consumers and business owners.

“As usage scales, expectations are changing – cardholders want clarity, personalisation and faster, digital-first claims experiences. Through our partnership with Neat, we are reinventing card-embedded insurance by combining Visa’s scale and trust with next-generation technology.

“This partnership allows us to deliver more intuitive, more transparent and more relevant protection, reinforcing the Visa card as an everyday companion that brings real, high-value benefits well beyond payments.”

Neat will provide the embedded insurance infrastructure supporting the new services, enabling cardholders to access more personalised coverage options and digital claims management tools.
