Regtech Kyckr bolsters leadership with new CTO

Kyckr

UK RegTech firm Kyckr, a business verification and monitoring platform, has announced the appointment of Ian Jones as its new chief technology officer (CTO).

According to FinTech Finance, Jones joins having accumulated nearly 30 years of experience across technology infrastructure and financial services. His previous roles include CTO at OpenPlay, director of technology at payments platform xMoney, and technical product director for EQ Pay, Equiniti’s global payments platform.

Kellet’s appointment represents a return to Kyckr, where he previously held a solutions engineer role between 2022 and 2024. The company says both hires are intended to accelerate product development as it looks to build on strong momentum from the second half of 2025, during which it recorded 60% revenue growth.

Established in 2022, Kyckr operates as a business verification and monitoring platform, focusing on anti-money laundering (AML), fraud prevention, and third-party risk assessment. The company has offices across the UK, Ireland, and Australia and counts more than 300 businesses on its network. Having reached profitability in 2024, Kyckr says it is now positioning itself for its next phase of growth.
