Visa, a world leader in digital payments operating across more than 200 countries and territories, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Trip.com Group to strengthen travel experiences for consumers across Asia Pacific.
Under the agreement, Trip.com Group will become a global Anchor Partner for Visa Destinations, a programme connecting cardholders to curated travel experiences shaped by local culture and insights. The partnership will draw on Visa’s global payments network and Trip.com Group’s travel ecosystem to offer personalised recommendations, destination offers and smoother transactions for travellers.
As part of the Anchor Partner arrangement, Trip.com Group will integrate Visa Destinations into its platform to develop enhanced travel propositions and deliver tailored offers across a broad range of consumer segments. Both companies will also pursue joint marketing and promotional activity in selected markets.
The two organisations intend to explore further collaboration targeting high-growth segments across the region, including providing Trip.com Group users with access to Visa’s portfolio of sports, music and lifestyle partnerships, as well as granting Visa Infinite cardholders exclusive Trip.com Group offers. Accelerating travel between Mainland China and the wider Asia Pacific region is also a stated priority.
