Akur8, a global actuarial AI platform, has joined the Verisk Strategic Alliance (VSA) partner network, enabling it to support customer-imported ISO Electronic Rating Content (ISO ERC) within its rating engine, Deploy.
The partnership grants Akur8 a licence to incorporate Verisk’s ISO ERC, which gives insurers electronic access to advisory loss costs, rules and forms information, directly into its Deploy rating engine. The arrangement is intended to help insurers that depend on licensed ISO rating content to modernise their rating workflows and implementation processes.
The collaboration aims to accelerate go-to-market timelines for insurers by connecting licensed rating content with a modern deployment environment, helping bring products and rate changes into production more swiftly. It is also designed to reduce dependence on manual and error-prone implementation work, while establishing more robust and maintainable rating structures.
Akur8’s Global Actuarial AI Platform serves more than 350 customers across 40-plus countries across Property and Casualty (P&C) and Life and Annuity (L&A) markets. Its client base includes global carriers such as AXA, Generali, Munich Re and Tokio Marine, alongside a range of commercial and personal lines insurers.
The announcement forms part of Akur8’s broader investment in the infrastructure required to support modern rating operations, as insurers increasingly seek to reduce complexity across systems and teams.
Verisk vice president, ratings solutions, Troy Smith said, “Modernizing rating is not just a technology upgrade; it is an operating model shift. At Verisk, we offer a comprehensive suite of rating solutions to support insurers at every stage of the rating lifecycle, including ISO ERC for implementation validation and quality assurance.
“Backed by Verisk’s trusted insurance data, industry expertise, and decades of experience supporting insurers, we are committed to helping solution providers and insurers more effectively implement ISO content within modern rating environments, enabling organizations to improve governance, reduce implementation risk, accelerate time to market and adapt more efficiently to change.”
Akur8 CEO Samuel Falmagne said, “This collaboration with Verisk reflects our commitment to providing insurers with the infrastructure they need for modern ISO-based rating operations. By joining the Verisk Strategic Alliance partner network, Akur8 strengthens its ability to support insurers that rely on licensed ISO ERC content as part of their broader rating operations.”
