Addi secures $85m Series D led by Citius and BTG Pactual

Addi, a Colombian commerce and financial services platform, has closed an $85m Series D equity round in a deal that represents BTG Pactual’s first Growth investment beyond Brazil.

The financing was led by Citius, with BTG Pactual’s Private Capital division acting as co-lead through its Growth Strategy, which targets high-growth businesses across Latin America. GIC, Monashees and other backers also joined the round.

As part of the deal, Addi and BTG Pactual will work together on joint strategic initiatives within the Colombian market.

The capital will be deployed to expand Addi’s credit platform, reinforce its technology infrastructure and broaden its suite of financial products for shoppers and merchants throughout Colombia.

The Series D follows a series of recent achievements for the company. In April 2026, Addi secured a $150m structured credit facility arranged by J.P. Morgan, the first warehouse financing structure the bank has put together for a Colombian business, lifting its total debt commitments above $680m.

The firm has also been authorised by the Superintendencia Financiera de Colombia to operate as a regulated entity, paving the way for deposit-taking.

Founded in 2018 by Santiago Suárez, Daniel Vallejo and Elmer Ortega, Addi serves more than three million customers and upwards of 39,000 merchants, spanning small businesses through to major brands. The company aims to power everyday commerce by widening credit access, enhancing the payment experience and lifting conversion rates, underpinned by a proprietary platform, a dual ecosystem, differentiated solutions and robust data.

Addi CEO and co-founder Santiago Suárez said, “Over the past seven years, we’ve built the leading financial and commerce platform in Colombia, creating an AI-first technology company that serves millions of Colombians and tens of thousands of merchants. While we’ve been profitable for two years, we decided to raise this round to accelerate our growth trajectory and bring world-class partners to the table.”

Citius co-founder and partner Oleg Gordienko said, “We are proud to support Addi, one of the truly outstanding leaders in Latin America’s rapidly evolving financial infrastructure sector. We are humbled to be a significant investor and to help drive a massive transformation of Colombia’s financial and e-commerce landscape.”
