Paysafe, a global payments platform, has broadened its collaboration with Tebex, the monetisation and growth platform serving game servers and studios.
Under the enlarged agreement, Tebex has embedded the Paysafe Gateway within its platform, giving video game merchants the ability to offer players a genuine choice of ways to pay, spanning card transactions through to alternative payment methods (APMs).
Paysafe’s prepaid eCash product, PaysafeCard, has been available through the Tebex Checkout since 2016. The new arrangement means that, via one simplified connection to the Paysafe API, Tebex now has access to the firm’s full portfolio of payment tools. Among these are credit and debit card payments, which Paysafe processes within seconds.
The Gateway additionally links Tebex to Paysafe’s collection of branded APMs. The Tebex Checkout has already gone live with Openbucks, a solution that enjoys considerable recognition among American gamers. It lets players in the US pay online with cash through third-party gift cards, available at more than 67,000 physical retail locations, or through Openbucks’ own Obucks digital card, sold online by authorised resellers.
