Hopae brings Google Wallet IDs into a single API

Hopae

Hopae, a digital identity connectivity provider, has joined forces with Google to act as an Aggregator for Google Wallet credentials, adding one of the largest mobile wallet ecosystems in the world to its Hopae Connect platform.

The tie-up allows enterprises to verify trusted identity credentials held in Google Wallet without needing to build or maintain their own dedicated integration. Instead, Hopae Connect customers will gain access to Google Wallet credentials via the same single API they already rely on to link with digital identity systems around the globe.

At launch, coverage spans mobile driver’s licences and state IDs across eleven US states, alongside ID Pass and Aadhaar support in six major markets, namely the US, UK, Brazil, Singapore, Taiwan, and India.

Hopae Connect enables businesses to plug into digital identity schemes worldwide through one integration, giving them a scalable route to trusted credentials across different markets, platforms, and use cases.

The company believes the collaboration signals the direction of travel for digital identity, with wallet-based credentials increasingly central to how individuals prove their identity both online and in person. As Google extends ID Pass internationally and the EU advances towards EUDI Wallet adoption, Hopae argues that its customers are now positioned for the next era of identification: mobile-native, wallet-based, and global.
