Zinnia, a technology platform serving the life and annuities market, has named Key Kiarie as its new chief financial officer, a move that comes as the firm ramps up expansion across its network of carrier and distributor clients.
In his new position, Kiarie will take charge of Zinnia’s finance and corporate development functions, with responsibility for the company’s financial, planning and operations strategy. He will also work alongside senior leaders throughout the business to help drive execution as the organisation scales.
Kiarie arrives with a background covering investment, media and operational leadership. His career started at JPMorgan, after which he held investing positions at AEA Investors, Saban Capital Group and Media Development Investment Fund (MDIF).
Prior to joining Zinnia, he held the CFO role at both Bloomberg Media and REVOLT Media & TV, guiding each business through considerable growth and transformation.
Zinnia operates as a technology backbone of the life and annuity space. With carriers and distributors overhauling how they operate and seeking more efficient approaches to building, selling and servicing products, the company continues to develop the technology, partnerships and expertise underpinning the sector’s modernisation.
Zinnia CEO George Esposito said, “I am thrilled to welcome Key to Zinnia at a defining moment for this company. We are core to how the life and annuity industry runs, and strong financial leadership turns momentum into durable results. Key has built that discipline inside high-growth businesses before, and he is the right person to lead it here.”
Zinnia CFO Key Kiarie said, “Zinnia sits at the center of an enormous, fast-changing market and its proprietary technology and customer value proposition is what makes this opportunity real.
“That combination of a strong platform, a talented team and a clear long-term vision is what drew me here. I look forward to executing on near immediate opportunities, supporting our growth and helping build for what’s next.”
