Strata Credit Union taps Alkami for digital banking

Alkami Technology, a digital sales and service platform provider for financial institutions in the US, has partnered with Strata Credit Union, a full-service community credit union serving Kern County, to overhaul the latter’s consumer digital banking experience.

Strata Credit Union has chosen Alkami’s Digital Banking Platform to support its long-term ambition of offering personalised, secure and mobile-first banking that helps its members strengthen their financial futures.

The partnership will see Strata Credit Union build a connected digital banking ecosystem intended to make everyday banking simpler, cut down on friction across digital touchpoints and deepen relationships with members. The mobile-first set-up will bring financial tools, payments and personalised engagement together into a single platform, while allowing the credit union to keep innovating as member expectations shift.

Using Alkami’s open and extensible architecture, Strata Credit Union plans to link best-in-class technologies into one cohesive digital experience. The platform will combine payments, transfers, card management, financial wellness tools and security features, and will give members greater insight into their financial position through spending analysis, savings goals and a broader view of their overall finances.

The move also feeds into Strata Credit Union’s wider mission of supporting members in building stronger financial futures. By pairing digital banking with intelligent personalisation and integrated financial wellness features, the credit union aims to foster a more proactive relationship with members, one that delivers timely guidance, relevant insights and smoother digital interactions.

Alkami operates a unified platform that combines onboarding, digital banking, and data and marketing capabilities, which can be used individually or together, to help banks and credit unions onboard, engage and grow relationships with customers as the sector moves towards what it terms Anticipatory Banking.

Strata Credit Union CEO Brandon Ivie said, “We believe technology should do more than make banking easier; it should help improve our members’ financial lives.

“Our members are at the center of everything we do, and partnering with Alkami will help us make financial tools and insights more accessible so members can better understand their financial health and make confident financial decisions. As we evaluated our long-term digital strategy, Alkami stood out as the partner that shares our vision for combining intuitive digital experiences with meaningful financial wellness and personalized engagement.”

Alkami chief product officer Benjamin Conant said, “As member expectations continue to rise, credit unions need modern technology that helps them deliver personalized, secure, and seamless experiences without sacrificing the flexibility to innovate.

“We’re excited to partner with Strata Credit Union as they advance their digital banking strategy with a Platform designed to strengthen financial wellness, deliver more personalized experiences, and deepen long-term member relationships. Together, we’re building a foundation that will help Strata continue delivering exceptional member experiences for years to come.”
