ZEDEDA, an edge intelligence platform provider, has partnered with VAS Limited, a value-added technology distributor, to bring its Edge Intelligence Platform to government, enterprise and commercial customers across Saudi Arabia.
The distribution agreement gives VAS Limited responsibility for hardware sourcing, multi-vendor integration, on-site commissioning and ongoing operational support, while ZEDEDA provides the platform for deploying, securing and managing applications across distributed edge environments.
VAS Limited, established in Saudi Arabia in 2024, provides technology integration and support across infrastructure, cloud, security and networking, alongside a programme developing local technical talent. ZEDEDA operates across the US, Germany, India and UAE, focusing on edge AI for large distributed enterprises, with both companies set to showcase their joint solution at LEAP 2026 in Riyadh.
The companies are also pursuing a joint go-to-market strategy, combining ZEDEDA’s edge technology with VAS Limited’s local integration and support capabilities. The agreement covers Saudi Arabia initially, with the partners also targeting expansion across the wider Gulf Cooperation Council region.
Their first joint solution focuses on AI-powered video analytics for branch and remote locations. GPU-accelerated edge appliances can process camera feeds and run AI inference locally, allowing detection and alerting to continue where wide-area network connectivity may be unreliable.
The appliances can also run third-party network and security functions as virtualised workloads. These include firewalling and multi-path connectivity across wide-area, local-area and cellular networks, potentially reducing the requirement for separate hardware at individual sites.
The setup combines local AI processing with centralised oversight of security, policy enforcement and fleet management. The companies said both the applications and their control plane are hosted within Saudi Arabia.
