Orange Insurance Exchange has launched three property insurance products simultaneously across Florida on Solstice Innovations’ AI-native Equinox policy administration platform.
The Florida-based reciprocal insurance exchange has gone live with HO-3, HO-6 and DP-3 products for new business, covering homeowners, condominium and dwelling fire risks, as of 1 September 2026.
Rather than bringing the products to market one at a time, Orange launched all three together using Equinox, which runs rating, issuance, endorsements, renewals, claims, billing and forms through a single system. The carrier’s commercial lines are scheduled to move onto the same platform in early 2027.
Orange and Solstice say the platform’s configuration capabilities allow the insurer to adjust rates, rules and forms without waiting on a software development schedule.
AI is also built into the platform’s underwriting, servicing and claims processes. At the point of quote, it checks and enriches property data, reducing manual entry for agents and improving submission accuracy.
During underwriting, the technology ranks referrals by risk signal and organises inspections, loss runs and correspondence, allowing underwriters to focus on decisions rather than administrative tasks. Binding decisions continue to require human sign-off.
Solstice has also applied AI across its software development, onboarding and client support operations.
Solstice Innovations builds Equinox for carriers and MGAs across NFIP flood, private flood, homeowners and commercial lines. The company describes the platform as AI-native, with artificial intelligence built into its architecture rather than added to legacy infrastructure.
The Orange deployment adds to a growing group of carriers and MGAs that adopted Equinox in 2026 across flood and homeowners lines. Solstice says it remains the only provider combining NFIP flood, private flood and homeowners on one AI-native system.
Orange Insurance Exchange CEO Don Matz said, “We looked hard at what it would take to bring three products to market without compromising underwriting discipline. Solstice gave us a platform that’s genuinely configurable, which means our underwriting team can respond to what we’re seeing in the book instead of waiting on a release calendar. Our agents get a faster, cleaner submission process, and our members get decisions in a fraction of the time. Personal lines is the starting point; we’re building our commercial product on the same foundation in early 2027.”
Solstice Innovations CEO Travis Pine added, “There’s a real difference between AI bolted onto a legacy system and AI that’s woven into the DNA of the architecture from day one, that’s the line we hold ourselves to. Orange came to us with a clear picture of how they wanted to underwrite and where the friction actually was. Standing up three products simultaneously on one configurable platform, with AI supporting the underwriter instead of replacing them, is exactly the kind of deployment Equinox was built for.”
The deployment highlights how AI-native policy administration infrastructure can support faster product launches while keeping underwriting decisions with human teams.
