QNu Labs, an Indian deep-tech cybersecurity company building quantum-safe solutions, has closed a ₹200 crore ($21m) Series A1 funding round.
The round was led by the National Quantum Mission and Speciale Invest, with backing from Sony Innovation Fund, Gaja Capital and Artha Ventures, among other participants. It brings QNu Labs’ total capital raised to date to ₹375 crore ($39.4m).
QNu Labs plans to put the new funding towards expanding its research and development efforts, strengthening its technological edge, and growing its sales and go-to-market operations both domestically and internationally.
Part of the capital will also go towards the company’s contribution to a government-backed project to build the technological foundation of India’s Quantum Secure and Sensing Networks under the RDI scheme.
The investment will also support QNu Labs’ push into quantum sensing and AI, broadening the reach of its deployments across key sectors and building out the infrastructure needed to meet surging worldwide demand for quantum-safe migration.
Having spent roughly ten years developing its technology, the company says it is now shifting from establishing the underlying science to driving adoption at scale, as businesses brace for a major overhaul of their cybersecurity systems.
QNu Labs, founded in 2016 out of IIT Madras by Srinivasa Rao Aluri and Sunil Gupta, describes itself as the architect of India’s quantum-secure digital backbone. The company positions itself as a category leader offering quantum-safe infrastructure and platform layers that let clients adopt the technology without disrupting existing operations. Its technology is used across banking, finance, government, automotive and telecoms.
Sunil Gupta, Co-founder, QNu Labs said, “India has moved early on in the quantum era. The National Quantum Mission, through its IIT Madras hub, has laid the foundation and with implementation timelines published in 2026 across sectors, quantum-safe technology is shifting from policy to commercial deployment.
“QNu Labs has spent over a decade building this stack and has already deployed across government, critical infrastructure and BFSI. Investment in indigenous capability now gives India a clear opportunity: secure its expanding digital infrastructure with sovereign technology that meets global standards and competes in global markets.”
