Conquest, a Winnipeg-based FinTech specialising in verifiable AI-powered financial advice, has launched a connector integrating its planning technology with Claude for Financial Advisors, Anthropic’s offering for wealth management professionals.
The integration uses the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to let financial advisors access Conquest’s planning capabilities directly through Claude, without switching between applications. Advisors can use natural language prompts to retrieve client plan details, summarise financial data, assess progress towards goals such as retirement and run projections. The connector can also identify opportunities to adjust strategies when a client’s circumstances change and generate draft financial plans based on individual goals, priorities and risk tolerance.
The technology is powered by Strategic Advice Manager (SAM), Conquest’s deterministic calculation engine and proprietary AI expert system. Designed to deliver repeatable and explainable results, SAM can rank and prioritise financial strategies before assessing them against best practice and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
These include CRM2 and CRM3 in Canada, Best Interest and Department of Labor (DOL) fiduciary standards in the US, and the Financial Conduct Authority’s (FCA) Targeted Support framework in the UK. Each recommendation includes an audit trail, allowing advisors to review the calculations behind suggested strategies and apply their own judgement.
Conquest cited research conducted with Financial Planning showing that 72% of firms are investing in intelligent automation and AI to improve advisor productivity. The company expects the connector to reduce time spent navigating fragmented systems, giving advisors more capacity to focus on client relationships.
Founded in 2018, Conquest serves more than 75% of Canadian financial advisors and says SAM has generated millions of financial plans worldwide. Its technology supports banks, financial institutions and advisors serving clients across the wealth spectrum, from mass-market savers to ultra-high-net-worth individuals. Its backers include Goldman Sachs Alternatives, Citi Ventures, TIAA Ventures, BNY and Royal Bank of Canada.
Conquest has developed its planning engine to operate independently of any single user interface, enabling firms to integrate it into advisor and client platforms, AI tools and white-label environments. The company describes itself as the first financial advice engine to offer an MCP server, extending its existing open architecture and two-way application programming interfaces (APIs).
The connector is available through Anthropic’s connector directory. Conquest also holds ISO/IEC 42001 certification for its AI management system and offers regional hosting in the US, Canada and the UK, allowing firms to choose where their data is stored.
Conquest chief revenue officer Rob Crnkovic said, “Advisors are increasingly using AI to enhance the client experience, but the underlying data has to be accurate. Conquest was built to show up wherever advisors and their clients already are, rather than asking them to log into yet another system. Connecting Conquest data with Claude will empower advisors to respond to clients in real time, and every projection can be verified. That’s why Conquest is at the forefront in democratising quality financial advice.”
