Toronto-Dominion Bank Group (TD), one of North America’s largest banks by assets, has partnered with TouchBistro, a leading provider of POS and restaurant management solutions, to offer Canadian restaurant owners an all-in-one payment and management platform.
The collaboration allows TD customers in the food service industry to integrate payment processes seamlessly with their day-to-day restaurant operations.
This partnership addresses a key need for restaurant owners: a streamlined platform that combines payment processing with operational management. By leveraging TD’s payment solutions alongside TouchBistro’s comprehensive restaurant management system, the collaboration enables Canadian restaurant owners to manage orders, reservations, staffing, floor plans, and billing from a single interface.
TouchBistro, an all-in-one POS and restaurant management provider, simplifies restaurant operations by combining front-of-house, back-of-house, and guest engagement tools into one platform. With solutions tailored to boost efficiency, sales, and guest satisfaction, TouchBistro helps restaurant owners manage various operational needs from one cohesive system.
This integration responds to TouchBistro’s 2024 Canadian Diner Trends Report, which found that 84% of Canadian diners prefer to pay by card, and 76% appreciate handheld payment terminals brought directly to their tables.
Alec Morley, senior vice president of Canadian small business banking at TD, highlighted the collaboration’s benefits, saying, “Collaborating with TouchBistro gives our merchants the ability to integrate their TD payment devices and benefit from the restaurant POS functionality and features that TouchBistro has to offer.
“In turn, Merchants have the peace of mind being supported by a bank and software vendor that they know and trust, helping entrepreneurs feel at ease while managing their restaurant business.”
