Collctiv hits £100m milestone in group payments

Collectiv

UK-based FinTech firm Collctiv has reached a major milestone, processing over £100m in group payments since its launch in September 2019.

The Manchester-founded company has rapidly expanded its presence, empowering organisers worldwide to easily collect and spend money with friends, colleagues, sports clubs, and charities.

Collctiv’s platform allows organisers to gather funds without sharing personal bank details. Users can simply send a custom link or QR code, while contributors can pay instantly using a credit card or digital wallet—without needing to download an app or create an account. This approach eliminates one of the biggest social payment challenges: the awkwardness and hassle of chasing people for money.

Collctiv CEO and co-founder Amy Whitell said, “£100m is such an incredible milestone to reach! I can still remember being overwhelmed when we reached our first million, never mind 10 million. I’m just so happy we’re helping so many people come together and do the things they love with the people they love, it’s amazing to see.”

Alongside this achievement, Collctiv has launched a new web-based platform to make its service even more accessible. While the mobile app remains central to its offering, users can now create, share, and manage group collections directly from their desktop or laptop—an update designed to enhance flexibility and reach.

Collctiv CTO and co-founder Pete Casson said, “Processing £100m is an incredible validation of the technology we’ve developed to solve a very human problem. I’m immensely proud of our team for building a platform that people trust at such a massive scale, and it provides a rock-solid foundation for our next stage of growth.”

Since its founding, Collctiv has been used by over 1.8 million people across 175 countries, positioning itself as a leader in the growing social payments space. As the company continues to innovate, it remains committed to making group payments as effortless and inclusive as possible.
