Fingerprint surpasses $50m ARR milestone

Fingerprint, an industry leader in device intelligence, has announced that it has passed $50m in annual recurring revenue (ARR), a milestone the company says underlines the pace of its growth as businesses turn increasingly to device intelligence tools to tackle fraud and improve the experience of returning users.

The ARR figure caps a period of rapid expansion for the business, which began life as an open-source browser fingerprinting project before growing into one of the fastest-expanding fraud prevention platforms globally. Over the last two years, the firm has recorded revenue growth of close to 200%, alongside a 93% rise in its customer base, and now operates across 56 countries.

More than 6,000 organisations now rely on Fingerprint, which identifies upwards of one billion unique devices each month and handles over 80 million real-time API events daily, helping its clients avoid more than $1bn in fraud losses every year.

Much of the company’s recent focus has been on responding to the growing use of artificial intelligence by fraudsters, who are deploying automated scripts capable of credential stuffing and account takeovers at a scale that undermines older, legacy detection methods.

Fingerprint’s response draws on analysis of hundreds of device signals combined with more than 20 Smart Signals to build a fuller picture of user identity. This year, the company launched its Authorised AI Agent Detection offering, alongside AI Assistant Detection and a preview version of its Automation Intelligence API.

The Authorised AI Agent Detection tool works with an ecosystem of AI agent providers, among them OpenAI, AWS AgentCore, Browserbase, Manus and Anchor Browser, allowing Fingerprint’s clients to identify verified agentic AI traffic with complete certainty and separate legitimate automated activity from malicious bots and scrapers.

The AI Assistant Detection tool, meanwhile, gives businesses real-time insight into traffic generated by major AI assistants, using the Automation Intelligence API to spot automated activity without needing client-side JavaScript.

Dan Pinto, CEO and co-founder of Fingerprint, said, “Surpassing $50 million in ARR is a defining milestone for Fingerprint and one that only a small fraction of startups ever achieve.

“It’s a testament to the relentless innovation of our employees, the trust of our customers, and the confidence of our investors. This milestone reflects what we’ve built together and the opportunity still ahead.”

Pinto added, “Device intelligence will be the foundation of the next generation of fraud prevention. As AI continues to blur the line between trusted users and sophisticated automation, organizations need continuous, real-time intelligence to make confident trust decisions. That’s why we’re continuing to invest in innovations that help enterprises stay ahead of the next generation of fraud.”
