Finzly, the banking technology company behind BankOS, has launched Assure, an AI-powered security and assurance layer designed to give banks continuous monitoring across security, compliance and operational resilience.
The technology is built directly into the infrastructure underpinning BankOS rather than being added as a separate AI security tool after deployment. The launch reflects a wider shift towards embedding security and compliance capabilities directly into banking infrastructure as financial institutions increase their use of AI and automated systems.
Assure is designed to monitor signals, flag anomalies, test controls and identify gaps across banking operations, applications, compliance processes and development work. The approach aims to replace point-in-time reviews with continuous evidence that critical controls remain effective.
A human remains involved as Finzly develops and calibrates the systems, although the company plans to introduce fully automated actions as the technology matures. The launch comes as financial institutions face a growing threat from AI-enabled attacks, with autonomous AI agents increasingly capable of carrying out multi-stage attacks against live banking systems.
Finzly cited TrendAI’s Modern Bank Heists 2026 report, which found that AI-enabled attacks against financial institutions increased 89% year on year. The report also found that 67% of institutions said attackers actively worked to counter defenders’ responses during live incidents.
Assure forms part of Finzly’s wider Agentic Galaxy suite, which was launched in October 2025 to introduce AI capabilities across payment operations and banking workflows. Since then, Finzly has expanded the use of agentic AI across BankOS, including operations, software development, testing and customer experience.
BankOS is designed to operate independently of legacy banking infrastructure and supports the movement of traditional and tokenised money across payment rails including ACH, wires, RTP, FedNow and SWIFT.
The platform uses ISO 20022-native processing and combines payment processing with a unified ledger, providing banks with infrastructure to develop services across areas including embedded banking, foreign exchange and payments.
Finzly founder and CEO Booshan Rengachari said, “Banking is entering a new era where attacks happen at machine speed, requiring that intelligence, innovation, and trust evolve together. BankOS was created to help financial institutions continuously evolve, and never has that been more needed than with AI. We introduced Agentic Galaxy to transform banking operations with AI, and with Assure we are extending that intelligence into security and resilience, helping banks innovate faster while maintaining the trust their customers depend on.”
Finzly chief information security officer Supro Ghose added, “As financial institutions embrace AI, security must evolve alongside innovation. As AI security researcher Roman V. Yampolskiy has written, “our best hope to defend against AI-enabled hacking is by using AI” Assure represents our commitment to making security and intelligence foundational elements of BankOS, helping banks operate with greater confidence in an increasingly complex digital environment.”
