Reward, a FinTech provider connecting banks, retailers and brands through transaction intelligence and commerce media, has appointed Enrique Del Rio as president, UK & Europe, as it looks to expand its banking technology proposition across the region.
Del Rio will lead Reward’s commercial development across banking loyalty, transaction intelligence and its Finance Media Network. The platform brings together banks, retailers and brands using customer data and engagement technology, creating opportunities for financial institutions to connect transaction activity with customer engagement.
The appointment brings more than 30 years of financial services experience to Reward, including 15 years in senior leadership positions at Lloyds Banking Group. Del Rio has also held senior roles at Goldman Sachs, Barclays Capital, Deutsche Bank and Bankers Trust, with experience spanning commercial banking, data and major client relationships.
At Reward, Del Rio will work to develop the company’s relationships with major UK banks while expanding its technology and data proposition for retailers and brands. His remit also includes taking the business into priority European markets and developing strategic relationships, including with Visa.
Reward’s Finance Media Network is a key part of its expansion strategy. The network uses transaction intelligence and commerce media to connect financial institutions with retailers and brands, with the company developing new offerings designed to strengthen these relationships and create additional commercial opportunities.
The technology sits at the intersection of banking, customer data and digital commerce. Reward operates across more than 15 markets in the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Asia, providing technology and data capabilities designed to help partners improve customer engagement, generate sales and build loyalty. The company said it has paid more than $2bn in cashback to customers and is targeting $4bn by 2030.
Reward is part of the Rezolve Ai Group, giving it access to the group’s technology and international footprint as it develops its Finance Media Network. The company said Del Rio will focus on bringing its latest offerings to market and expanding their commercial reach across the UK and Europe.
Reward CEO James House said, “Enrique’s appointment is a significant step in our growth across the UK and Europe. He combines deep banking expertise with a strong track record of building commercial relationships and turning data-led innovation into new revenue opportunities. His experience gives him a valuable understanding of what banks need as they seek to create more relevant customer experiences and unlock greater value from data. Together with Rezolve Ai’s technology and global reach, that perspective will be instrumental as we expand our intelligence proposition and capture the opportunities emerging from agentic commerce.”
Reward president, UK & Europe Enrique Del Rio added, “I’ve been deeply impressed by Reward’s position in the market. Few businesses can match the strength of its banking partnerships, the depth of its transaction intelligence and its ability to connect banks, retailers and brands at scale. Having spent much of my career in banking, I understand the commercial opportunity these capabilities create. My focus will be on taking Reward’s innovation to market, deepening strategic partnerships and building significant new revenue opportunities across the UK and Europe.”
