Jumio expands reusable KYC identity solution across EMEA

Jumio expands reusable KYC identity solution across EMEA

Jumio, an AI-powered identity intelligence provider, has expanded its reusable identity solution, selfie.DONE, across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), completing the product’s global rollout.

The EMEA launch follows deployments in Latin America, North America and Asia-Pacific, making selfie.DONE available worldwide across the regions where Jumio operates.

The solution allows returning customers who have already enrolled to verify their identity using a selfie rather than repeatedly submitting an identity document. Jumio said required compliance checks are carried out in real time as the user completes the verification process.

The launch targets regulated markets across EMEA, where organisations need to balance streamlined digital onboarding with requirements including GDPR, PSD2 and AMLD. Jumio said selfie.DONE uses a consent-based and privacy-focused approach to address these requirements.

The reusable identity solution is powered by Jumio’s global identity graph, which the company says contains more than 75 million legitimate and fraudulent identities and grows by approximately 85,000 identities each day.

Rather than relying on previously stored verification results, each reuse decision requires user consent and involves fresh biometric matching and risk analysis, according to Jumio.

The company said deployments of selfie.DONE have resulted in verification completion rates increasing by up to 20%, while as many as 60% of returning trusted users have been able to complete verification without presenting an identity document.

Jumio is showcasing the technology to gaming operators at SBC Summit Lisbon, where it is exhibiting at booth E116, with the solution intended to streamline player registration and repeat verification.

The company also positions selfie.DONE for use across financial services, FinTech, crypto, marketplaces and mobility, where digital identity verification and ongoing customer authentication are key parts of the user journey.

Jumio’s platform provides identity verification and ongoing monitoring using biometric authentication, automation, liveness detection, machine learning and no-code orchestration across hundreds of data sources.

The company says its technology supports fraud and financial crime prevention, customer onboarding and KYC and AML compliance. Jumio has processed more than one billion transactions across more than 200 countries and territories.

Jumio president and CPTO Bala Kumar said, “Bringing selfie.DONE to EMEA completes our worldwide rollout of our reusable identity solution, shifting the industry from static, point-in-time checks to continuous, connected, and contextual identity intelligence on a global scale. In markets where regulatory scrutiny and user expectations for friction-free digital experiences are equally high, selfie.DONE proves that conversion and compliance are not a trade-off. By putting explicit user consent and privacy at the core of our global identity graph, we empower businesses to instantly recognize trusted users while ensuring rigorous security and privacy standards.”
