The Dutch challenger bank Bunq is not only announcing that it is going to be available across the EU, but also that it will from now on enable Apple Pay and Google Pay support for travel card users in some countries.
The neobank is expanding across 20 additional EU countries as well as non-EU countries Norway and Iceland. Bunq is already active in its native country as well as in France Spain, German and Belgium. The Apple Pay and Google Pay support will be available in these countries as well as in Ireland, according to TechCrunch.
Bunq recently launched the Bunq Travel Card, which enables users to save on banking fees. By signing in on the travel card, users can tap up their electronic wallets and then spend money using their Bunq Mastercard without adding any markup fees. This service will now be available in the 22 new markets. However, Bunq’s premium accounts will not be available in these markets.
