Western Union, a cross-border payments firm, has released a new application programming interface (API) to support front-end domestic and international payment applications.
The new set of APIs offers around 37,000 business customers the ability to integrate their financial institutions, accounting and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and their account on GlobalPay.
GlobalPay is a Western Union’s payment service which enables users to streamline their transactions, lower errors and costs, and improve cash and risk management.
With the new API integration, users can streamline payment processing and access visibility to transaction and account history. It also offers transparency to foreign exchange rates, transaction costs applicable fees, and security measures.
Western Union Business Solutions global head of product Scott Johnson said, “Our goal is to help customers integrate their data, in turn expanding their global reach and managing their international payments more efficiently, while maintaining our commitment to leading the industry in offering the highest standards of security.”
