PFITR scoops up $200,000 to improve government investing

PFITR (Public Funds Investment & Reporting), a SaaS company aiming to help institutional investors managing tax dollars better oversee their portfolios, has taken on $200,000 in a convertible note offering.

The financing for the St. Louis-based startup comes firm banking and payments technology firm FIS.

PFITR’s flagship product Bond Price Validation allows investors to assess investments’ risk, price and the timing of deals.

Targeting government investing, the company claims that there are trillions of taxpayers’ dollars in capital markets, meaning that slight improvements in method can have dramatic effects.

To date PFITR has raised more than $1m through a series of seed rounds and convertible note offerings.
