HR and payroll platform Flare HR has reportedly secured a $7m investment from Westpac Banking’s venture firm Reinventure Group.

Australia-based Spriggy has reportedly raised around $2.5m in its latest funding round led by Alium Capital.

Australian venture capital firm Square Peg Capital has closed its latest fund with $180m (AU$234m). The firm invested in payments disruptor Stripe’s $100m Series C round in July 2015.

Accounting software provider MYOB is expanding its payments capabilities with the acquisition of Paycorp for A$48m ($36m).

The Sydney-based company picked up A$25m ($19.18m) in a Series B round led by AirTree Ventures. Entrée Capital and Ironbridge Capital also participated in the round.

Australian accounting platform Practice Ignition has picked up AUD$5m ($3.75m) in a Series A funding round.
