It proved to be a very diverse week in FinTech. There were a total of 15 FinTech funding rounds, of which, 11 different countries were represented. 

Wopta Assicurazioni, an InsurTech MGA established to support businesses and professionals against everyday risks, has successfully closed a €4.1m Series A funding round.

CyberTech and marketplace lending companies lead the way in this week's FinTech deals. A total of 21 deals were completed by FinTechs this week, with five of these being CyberTechs and another five being marketplace lending businesses.

A staggering $1bn tranche secured by Wiz headlined this week's FinTech funding rounds, which topped out at a mammoth $1.448.8bn.

Over $3bn was raised by FinTech companies this week, supercharged by a colossal €1.5bn raised by UK-based SumUp.
