Point of sale consumer lending startup ZestMoney has picked up $6.5m in Series A funding. The round was led by Indian online payments firm PayU.

Payment services provider PayU is bringing on former PayPal senior director Matthias Setzer as global chief commercial officer. He joins the firm having spent 12 years at PayPal.

PayU, a payments provider owned by South African multinational Naspers, is acquiring Indian payments and mobile banking service Citrus Pay.
