Backflip, an all-encompassing real estate and financial technology platform, has closed a $15m Series A funding round, spearheaded by FirstMark Capital, known for their early investment in other category-defining platforms like Airbnb, Shopify, and Pinterest.

US-based Backflip, which helps investors find the right property to invest into, has netted $8m for its seed round and a $27m debt investment.

Connected accounting cloud platform Lockstep has scored $10m in its Series A round, which was led by Point72 Ventures.

AcreTrader, which claims to be a farmland investing platform aimed at removing barriers to farmland investing and ownership, has closed its Series A on $12m.
