As hype continues to build around the potential for startups to disrupt the insurance space, Eos Venture Partners is launching as specialised fund dedicated to finding opportunities in insurtech.
Firm managing director Sam Evans said, “Traditional insurance business models are slow, inefficient, encumbered by legacy technology and lack customer focus.
“The sector is primed for a period of unprecedented innovation and Eos will be at its heart.”
The fund claims it will invest seed and growth stage funding into companies that are innovating in the space through tech-enhanced customer experiences and claims, as well as data analysis.
Eos will also work closely with portfolio companies to offer advice.
The firm has already made investments in smart home startup Neos, claims solution RightIndem and social media data company Digital Fineprint.
