Malaysia-based MyCash Online has reportedly raised around $556,000 through crowdfunding app pitchIN.
The round was co-led by government-backed Cradle fund and JC management, committing $513,000 to the funding round, according to various media reports.
MyCash is a e-marketplace for the migrants in Malaysia and Singapore who do not have access to banking or credit cards.
Once a user has registered on the website with an ID, the customer is able to purchase vouchers which can be used to buy services from the platform.
Services on offer include mobile top-ups and gifts to families back home, among others.
Through the funding, the company hopes to build a remittances and banking services.
