Habito raises $18.5m in Series B funding round, led by Atomico

Habito has sealed a £18.5m investment, which will be used to make mortgage applications easier.

Atomico, a venture fund led by Skype founder Niklas Zennstrom, led the round and was joined by Ribbit Capital, Mosaic Ventures and Revolutionary (ad)Ventures.

Total funding for the startup to £27.5m, which is backed by entrepreneurs behind Transferwise and Funding Circle Taavet Hinrikus and Samir Desai.

Habito will use the fresh cash to build on its chatbot mortgage broker with home and life insurance.

The company revealed, it is working with high street banks to add its real-time mortgage approvals technology to services.
